The Essay section is optional in the SAT exam, however, many colleges ask for the Essay section scores as well while assessing a candidate's profile for admission. Now, we will help you with the tips to prepare for SAT exam.

This includes two sections in the tests, one is the reading test where candidates need to show how much they can read and understand the text. While the other section is a SAT Writing test where candidates are asked to read and then edit the text accordingly. The preparation tips are:

  • Read the passage carefully and then try to find the answers
  • Use proper reasoning to support your conclusions from the passage
  • Make sure that your answers should be only from the passage
  • Use your time wisely and try to answer maximum number of questions from one passage and then only move to another question
  • Stress on facts, ideas, details and point of view from the passage

  • Passages can be of two types one where after reading you will need to find out the errors and the other, where you will need to understand the theme or idea behind the passage
